HOW TO COMPLETE A RECRUITMENT INFORMATION FORM

Recruitment Information Forms are an important part of selecting new members in Alpha Gamma Delta. Based on feedback from collegiate members and alumnae, we’ve compiled our most frequently asked questions:

Why are Recruitment Information Forms important?

Like many other organizations in the National Panhellenic Conference, Recruitment Information Forms help collegiate chapters strategically recruit potential new members. RIFs are not a requirement—nor do they guarantee membership—but they are beneficial to our chapters when filled out as completely as possible.

Who can write a recommendation?

Members and non-members are encouraged to submit a Recruitment Information Form for PNMs who embody our values. If you are a PNM seeking someone to submit a RIF on your behalf, you are encouraged to contact a collegiate or alumnae member of Alpha Gamma Delta who has known you for at least one year—or someone who knows you well, such as a close family friend or teacher. To find an alumnae chapter/club near you, use our chapter locator. Your local Panhellenic alumnae chapter may also be able to provide additional guidance on RIFs.

Where do I find this form?

The RIF is located at alphagammadelta.org >> Join >> Recruitment Information Form. You can also click here to access it.

Where do I submit the form?

Online submissions are the preferred method; however, you may access the printable version here and mail it directly to the chapter. Mail any printed materials to the chapter’s campus address, ATTN: Director of Membership.

Should I complete the form in writing or digitally?

Most chapters prefer the form be completed digitally because all details are more legible. In addition, chapters can store these forms through a digital platform. You may also complete the form in writing and mail it to the appropriate chapter if you do not have access to a computer.

What is the most important part of the form to complete?

Every part of the form is important, but the following information is most important: chapter information, PNM first name, PNM last name, academic year, college classification, introduction information, additional PNM information and your information. By completing these portions of the RIF, you give the collegiate chapter a clear picture of the potential new member.

Do I have to input supplementary activities?

While it is recommended that a detailed resume and any other information about the potential new member is uploaded to the RIF, there is space on the RIF to list PNM leadership, service, honors and awards if a resume is not attached.

Should I submit additional information such as resumes, photographs or transcripts?

As a best practice, always upload additional information like a resume, photograph or transcript to the form. If these items are not available, include as much information as you can on the RIF.
