GAMMA BETA–FLORIDA STATE UNIVERSITY HOUSE DEDICATION
The following post was written by guest blogger Emily White, Theta Omega–The University of South Carolina, Business Development Manager for the Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity Housing Corporation. Photos captured by Sarah Cagle Photography.
On October 21, 2018, Gamma Beta–Florida State University, celebrated the dedication of their brand-new chapter facility, built by the Alpha Gamma Delta Fraternity Housing Corporation (FHC). Hosted during Florida State University’s Homecoming Weekend, Gamma Beta alumnae from across the country attended.
At noon, more than 300 guests assembled to watch the dedication ceremony of the house—the beautiful fall weather was a plus! Guests included current and former International Council members, the FHC Board, the project architect and the FSU President and his wife, who is an Alpha Gam.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, guests were welcomed through signature red doors into the grand foyer of the house where they were able to take guided house tours, shop at the Alpha Gam Boutique, eat brunch prepared by the House Chef and connect with sisters.
The Gamma Beta Chapter house is one of the most stately on FSU’s campus. With two verandas and columns gracing the front, a grand staircase and arched doorways greet you from the inside. It is furnished with many custom touches that subtly and uniquely brand the space. From the Alpha Gamma Delta Purpose wall, Live with Purpose pillows and Alpha Gamma Delta marquee letters, guests and potential new members will never forget where they are.
To learn more about the construction of the house and see exclusive photos, look out for the winter issue of the Quarterly, available early January 2019 . A virtual tour of the facility will be available online at alphagammadeltahousing.org on January 7, 2019.
