VOLUNTEER SERVICE TEAM COMMITTEE APPOINTMENTS 2021-23

Alpha Gamma Delta relies on volunteer leadership to advance our mission, promote our values, support our programs and lead the Fraternity. 

Volunteering for Alpha Gamma Delta offers an opportunity for the cultivation of leadership, growth and lifelong friendships. Volunteer Service Team (VST) Committees play an important role in the growth and continued success of the Fraternity.  

The Volunteer Service Team is appointed to serve from June 1, 2023 to May 31, 2025. During the biennium, openings on VST may occur. Mid-biennium appointments are made for the remainder of the current biennium. Mid-biennium appointment applications are accepted on a rolling basis. Is there an age requirement to volunteer? Expand

There is no age requirement to serve. You are eligible to volunteer for Alpha Gam as soon as you leave your college or university.  

What are the time and travel expectations? Expand

Time and travel expectations vary by committee and are listed on each volunteer job description. 

What is the overall Fraternity leadership structure? Expand Each committee is connected to an IHQ staff member. IHQ staff reports to the Executive Director. The Executive Director reports to International Council.

When will I hear back about my application? Expand

Candidates for chair positions should receive communication no later than March 15. Candidates for committee members will receive communication around April 15, after the Chairs have been selected. 

What training and support is provided for volunteers? Expand Newly appointed VST members will be expected to join our virtual Academy for VST on Sunday, June 27, 2021. Additional training resources are provided throughout the year and made available on Alpha Gam’s learning management platform.  What if I want to advise a collegiate chapter?
