Alpha Gamma Delta

Greek Licensing

collegians

Alpha Gamma Delta has developed guidelines to ensure our name, symbols and marks are showcased consistently. This helps us create a strong brand identity and increase recognition of Alpha Gamma Delta. These guidelines are to be used by members as well as vendors in order to ensure a cohesive representation of our organization. Any vendor duplicating our name and marks must be licensed.

What is Greek Licensing? Expand

Over the years, symbols, icons, traditions, and trademarks have come to represent the passion of Alpha Gamma Delta undergraduate and alumnae members. The Greek licensing program ensures these marks and symbols are used properly. Licensing agreements define the terms of use and distribution of a product, which can provide legal protection for Alpha Gamma Delta and the licensed vendors providing apparel and non-apparel items for the organization.

What are trademarks? Expand

Alpha Gamma Delta’s trademarks include the Fraternity name, nicknames, Greek letters, logos, symbols, landmarks, armorial bearings (crest) and Badge. Any use of these marks or marks that are similar must be granted through a license agreement.

What are our rights? Expand

All individuals must obtain approval prior to using any of Alpha Gamma Delta word marks, slogans, symbols, designs, logos, or combination of these elements, which identify and distinguish the goods or services of the national organization. This is done by purchasing product from a licensed vendor ONLY. Alpha Gamma Delta is the sole owner of all of these marks that reference the organization. As a member, you have a right to use Alpha Gamma Delta’s trademarks ONLY for non-commercial personal use.

Why does this matter? Expand

The goal of the program is to protect the Alpha Gamma Delta brand, promote licensed product and support members by using royalties for chapter visits, leadership training, special programming, and member experience.
