Alpha Gam Fights Hunger

Foundation

74,000 Meals.

650 Inspired Women.

60 Minutes.

1 Purpose.

When Alpha Gams from all over North America converged in Indianapolis, Indiana for The Leadership Conference (TLC), they were doing more than learning about their officer roles, meeting new sisters and honing their leadership skills. They were impacting the lives of thousands of families in Central Indiana.

On Sunday morning during TLC, Alpha Gamma Delta invited Million Meal Movement to join us in launching our fight against hunger. Over the course of one hour, more than 74,000 meals were assembled, sealed and packed to be delivered to Gleaners Food Bank. This meal packing event was made possible through a $20,500 grant provided by the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation.

Fighting Hunger Grants will be awarded to nonprofit organizations throughout the United States and Canada who fight hunger in our communities. These grants will help our community partners continue to serve their missions, while allowing our sisters to Live with Purpose. Grants for fighting hunger programs will open December 1 and funds will be awarded in the spring of 2018.
