THE ELECTION PROCESS
Members, chapters and clubs in Good Standing submit recommendations to the Executive Director, who forwards them to the Elections Committee. The Committee secures biographical information from the members recommended for the ballot. A specific office list is determined by the Committee. The Elections Committee evaluates the qualifications of those on the specific office list. They conduct confidential conference calls with potential candidates and phone interviews with current or previous Volunteer Service Team supervisors. The Committee prepares the ballot based on the information received as outlined above. Ballots are returned to a private Certified Public Accountant for counting. The results only are given to the Elections Committee. After the results are announced to the members of the Fraternity, the ballots are destroyed by the CPA.
Please note: Alpha Gamma Delta policy states that Alpha Gamma Delta candidates do not campaign for a position and others do not campaign for her.
