  • What is a Leadership Consultant or Leadership Advisor?
    Every year a new Leadership Consultant/Advisor Team is selected to work with our collegiate chapters throughout the United States and Canada and promote the mission and vision of the Fraternity. The team consists of Leadership Consultants and Leadership Advisors. Leadership Advisors and Leadership Consultants play a vital role through International Headquarters because they serve as ambassadors for the Fraternity. Their mission is to help chapters evolve one step closer to their potential.

    Leadership Consultants travel to collegiate chapters throughout the United States and Canada, whereas Leadership Advisors assist one chapter at or near where they attend graduate school. Both experiences empower recent graduates to reach for a superior level of excellence in their personal and professional lives.

  • What type of professional experience will I gain by being a Leadership Consultant or Leadership Advisor?
    In addition to forming lifelong friendships with sisters across North America and continuing service to Alpha Gamma Delta, Leadership Consultants and Leadership Advisors receive professional skills and gain experience that prepares them for success in a variety of careers, graduate school and the challenges of life. Daily responsibilities range from recruitment coach to financial analyst, workshop facilitator to policy administrator, public relations specialist and counselor to crisis manager. These positions provide the ideal training ground for the next step in professional development.

  • What are the benefits of being a Leadership Consultant or Leadership Advisor?
    In addition to compensation, Leadership Consultants expenses such as transportation, lodging and meals are furnished by Alpha Gamma Delta. Medical and life insurance are also provided by the Fraternity. Leadership Advisors receive an educational grant from the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation to reduce tuition and textbook cost.

  • Do I have to be Chapter President to be considered for a Leadership Consultant or Leadership Advisor position?
    No, you do not have to have served as Chapter President to be an LC or LA. Qualified candidates should be in Good Standing, involved in Alpha Gam, as well as participated in extra-curricular activities while in college.

  • How do I learn everything I need to know to assist with collegiate chapters?
    Comprehensive training takes place at International Headquarters in Indianapolis, Indiana. This training allows Leadership Consultants and newly-hired Leadership Advisors to make educated, on-the-spot decisions while traveling or working solely with one chapter. Leadership Consultants return to International Headquarters for end-of-the-semester feedback and receive additional assessment and training. Other topics of training include, but are not limited to, risk management, Ritual, recruitment, operations, and finance.
