The Alpha Gamma Delta Experience
The Fraternity is pleased to introduce a new educational program for our collegians: the Alpha Gamma Delta Experience. The Alpha Gamma Delta Experience is an exciting program that consists of three components: the Alpha Experience, for new members; the Gamma Experience, for initiated collegiate members; and the Delta Experience, for seniors embarking on alumna life. Together, these components offer all Alpha Gamma Deltas the necessary tools to become strong, progressive women who make a positive difference in the lives of others. The Fraternity is confident that the Alpha Gamma Delta Experience will benefit our members by providing the framework for lifelong, personal and professional development. The Alpha Experience
Alpha Gamma Delta’s new member education program, the Alpha Experience, is the most recent component of the Alpha Gamma Delta Experience to be introduced to the Fraternity. This innovative educational program was developed to help new members acclimate to Fraternity life. With an emphasis on sisterhood and bonding opportunities, the Alpha Experience consists of five key programs: Scholarship, Values, Life Balance, Operations and History.
The Gamma Experience
As an integral part of the Alpha Gamma Delta Experience, an educational and personal development program targeted to initiated collegiate members will be introduced in the summer of 2010. The Gamma Experience is an interactive program, inspired by the guiding principles of our Purpose, with an emphasis on mentoring, community service, campus leadership, scholarship and sisterhood.
The Delta Experience
The Delta Experience, introduced in fall 2008, was developed as part of the Alpha Gamma Delta Experience to help seniors navigate the transition from collegiate to alumna life. Through senior-specific activities with local alumnae chapters/clubs and Junior Circles, the Delta Experience allows seniors to prepare for life after college or university as they reflect on their collegiate experience with activities such as Senior Recognition Week. Along with graduating collegians, Alpha Gamma Delta alumnae chapters and clubs are discovering many ways in which to implement the Delta Experience in their programming.
As a part of the Alpha Gamma Delta Experience, l members of the Fraternity are required to take and pass GreekLifeEdu, a non-opinionated, science-based course that aims not to preach but rather to teach the facts about alcohol, hazing and sexual assault. GreekLifeEdu empowers students to make well-informed decisions and provides some simple strategies to help keep you and your friends safe. GreekLifeEdu has three modules of content featuring videos, discussion boards, blogs, interactive activities and more!
